Our goal is to empower wood flooring professionals by connecting them to the products and services they need from wood flooring companies around the globe. With more than 35 years of industry experience, we understand the unique challenges and opportunities of this business. One of our biggest assets is that we aren’t a huge media company that happens to do a wood flooring magazine. AB Media Inc. is a small, family-owned company that has only three brands, all of which are considered an essential part of their industries. Our longtime staff includes:

Jared Fish, Director of Sales
​Jared joined Wood Floor Business in August 2025, having worked for WFB's sister publication, AQUA, since 2014, and most recently as
AB Media's director of sales. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in History, he specializes in helping companies exceed their sales and marketing objectives. In his free time, Jared enjoys being active, cooking and spending time with his wife, two children and their Westie, Ralphie.

Emily Kingland, Assistant Editor
Emily joined Wood Floor Business in November 2025, after working as a freelance writer and copywriter at Duluth Trading Company. She assists WFB’s editor with writing, editing and publishing all print and online materials. With a degree in public relations from the University of Northern Iowa, Emily brings a special marketing lens to every project. Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, doing house projects and playing in a band with her husband, Justin.

Kim Wahlgren, Editor
Kim is the longtime editor of Wood Floor Business. Based in Madison, Wis., she manages the day-to-day operations of the WFB print magazine, woodfloorbusiness.com, twice-weekly E-News and social media. She holds a degree from the University of Wisconsin in journalism and Spanish. Away from the office, she's busy enjoying her family, including two beautiful children, an ex-racehorse, an extraordinarily silly black Labrador mutt and her husband Brent, whom she met at.... yes, wood flooring school.

KIM WAHLGREN

Marj Schultz, Production Manager
Marj has been making things happen behind the scenes in the production department at AB Media since before all of the staff used computers … and before AB Media was even called AB Media. Today, in her production manager duties she ensures that each issue of AB Media's three titles actually go to press, and she also graces WFB with her design skills as its art director. She also loves helping advertisers, whether that’s guiding them on how to create materials on their own or bringing their marketing visions to life herself. In her free time, Marj likes to paint, draw, garden and enjoy her two grandsons.
